Text[0]=["Who is NAR?","Since Megan's law was passed it is required by law for all sexual offenders to register with their local police department. Unfortunately, budgetary restraints make it almost impossible for this vital information to be passed out to each parent in every community. National Alert Registry (NAR) was designed to bring this information directly to you. By conducting a zip code search we will be able to notify you if a sexual offender has moved into your community as well as provide you with a complete profile of the sexual offender."]
Text[1]=["Member Benefits","<li>A map showing where the registered offenders are in relation to your residence or any address.</li><li>A corresponding list of each offender's name and address</li><li>One-Click access to each offender's details. </li><li>We will send you a Red Alert notification when new predators are in your area.</li><li>Ad-hoc email updates with new sex offender alerts.</li> "]
Text[2]=["Are all sex offenders required to register?","Sex offenders who have been released from custody since Megan's Law went into effect on October 31, 1994, are required to register with their local police department. Also, sex offenders who were on parole or probation on the effective date of the law, as well as offenders who have been found to be repetitive and compulsive by experts and the courts - regardless of the date of sentence - are required to register. Some registrants must verify their addresses annually; others must verify their addresses every 90 days."]
Text[3]=["How does the NAR notification process work?","NAR performs an exact address search as we receive new data from your locality. The profile will include any information that your state makes available. This normally includes name, address and criminal offense, but may also include a photo and demographic profile, when available."]
Text[4]=["What should I do if I receive notification that a sex offender has been released in my area?","Always use the information responsibly. Talk to you children and reinforce safety precautions about staying away from strangers. Ask your children to tell you where they will be at all times. Tell your children where the sex offender lives, what he or she looks like and what to do if they encounter or are approached by that person. Explain to your children the importance of staying away from the location where the sex offender lives and to treat them as a stranger. If you believe a crime is being committed contact your local law enforcement agency immediately."]
Text[5]=["What if I move?","Since your membership only requires an e-mail address for you to be advised of new listings, you will just need to make sure that you update your account information in the event the move necessitates your obtaining a new e-mail address."]
Text[6]=["Is NAR alone going to eliminate sex crimes and sexually motivated abductions?","No, NAR alone is not going to eliminate sex crimes or sexually motivated abductions. Reducing the prevalence of sex crimes can be effectively accomplished by being aware of any sexual offenders living in your area, harsher criminal sentencing, effective sex-offender treatment programs and abduction prevention educational programs."]
Text[7]=["How do I know what States are covered?","Because of Megan's law and each State's decision process some States have not released full address details. NAR's database is updated constantly and as soon as new information is available from a state, that information will be added to our database. There are also a number of states that have not released address information. Those states are:<li>Hawaii</li><li>Oregon</li><li>Rhode Island</li><li>South Dakota</li>"]
Text[8]=["How current and accurate is the information that I will receive as a member?","NAR receives all of the information from individual states and local court systems which is then compiled and plotted. NAR relies totally upon the accuracy of that state and local information for distribution and has no mechanism available to verify its accuracy. Updates are received from individual jurisdictions at varying intervals. Upon receipt of the information NAR compiles it into a useful format for distribution to members. The time interval from receipt to distribution is usually less than two weeks, but upon occasion may exceed that time frame."]
Text[9]=["Why isn't this information available free of charge?","Information on offenders is part of the public record and is freely accessible. You may access it anytime through your local and State government offices. However, it took the ingenuity of The National Alert Registry's founders to bring it to you in a fast, easy to use, personalized and directly-delivered fashion. Every map you see costs the company money, too, as does maintaining the data feeds that make it all possible. Membership fees help ensure that the service continuously improves to serve your needs even better."]
Text[10]=["You make it so easy. What's my part?","The National Alert Registry is only as good as your commitment to keeping your family safe. It is a tool to educate you and make your neighborhood safer through awareness. It helps you reinforce family safety planning and support the best efforts of local law enforcement.<li><b>Support law enforcement</b> - Although local law enforcement authorities cannot force an offender to move from one location to another, they are granted authority to provide community notification about offenders who are considered moderate to high risk. However, most law enforcement agencies will provide community notification only if the conviciton requires it.</li><li><b>Do not give an offender a hard time</b> -It's natural to be upset and fearful when an offender moves in nearby. However, the laws that allow the National Alert Registry to keep you informed were not intended to make things difficult for offenders. Quite the opposite: By cooperating with law enforcement and your community watch program, you can provide an environment to help the offender to succeed. Along with the right to know comes a responsibility to use the information constructively.Don't jeopardize the privilege of being aware by harassing an offender or taking unlawful action! Doing so may subject you to criminal and/or civil prosecution. As a reminder, you agree not to do so when you accept the Terms and Conditions of membership.</li> "]
Text[11]=["Is my membership fee tax deductible?","Although the National Alert Registry Predator Report provides community services and assists the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children, it is a for-profit company. As such, the membership fee is not tax deductible."]
Text[12]=["How will I know...?","<b>New Offenders:</b><br>You can stay up to date with current offenders in your area by upgrading your program for a small monthly fee of $4.95."]
Text[13]=["Additional Addresses","Currently we are working hard to provide a way for a single account to have more than one address, but for now, please go to http://predatorreport.com and purchase another account with the new address you want to add.<br>Check back soon or watch your email and Predator Report Account for this new option."]
Text[14]=["Email Changes","If your email address changes, notify us at: service@nationalalertregistry.com."]
Text[15]=["User Name and Password","User names are unique to your email address and cannot be changed. To change your password:<li>Log into program</li><li>Click on change password</li><li>Enter user name and current password</li><li>Enter new password</li><li>Click submit</li>"]
Text[16]=["Is a download available?","NAR Predator Report is setup to always have the latest data and information to help keep you safe. Due to the need to make sure your are never out of date, we only offer this service online so there is no download."]
Text[17]=["Risk Levels","Although Federal legislation prompted each State to enact its own registration legislation, the details of enforcement such as jurisdiction and risk levels vary by the State. This is a general overview of the similarities. Consult the laws of your State for the most up to date and specific information.<br>When a sex offender is released from incarceration and into to the community, the sentencing court assigns a risk level based upon a risk assessment. The risk assessment criterion include the use of force, weapons, alcohol or drugs; The victim's age, number of victims, assault or injury of the victim and the offender's relationship to the victim. Although assessment techniques vary, the risk of a repeat offense and the threat to public safety generally falls into one of three categories:<li><b>Low Risk</b>: A Level I offender is viewed as the lowest risk to the community and is deemed the least likely to re-offend. He/she may have participated in an authorized rehabilitation program and this may be the offender's first conviction. Fortunately, the majority of offenders are Level I.</li><li><b>Moderate Risk</b>: The Level II offender may have more than one victim or may have abused long-term. The offender likely knew the victim, possibly abusing a position of trust.</li><li><b>High Risk</b>: The Level III offender poses the highest potential threat to the community. Other previous violent crime convictions are probable, as are substance abuse and refusal to or failure to complete treatment. Level III offenders comprise approximately 15% of the total offender population.</li><br>Additional Designations may include:<li><b> Sexually Violent Offender</b> - Has been convicted of a sexually violent offense.</li><li><b> Predicate Sex Offender</b> - Has been convicted of two or more registration-eligible crimes.</li><li><b> Sexual Predator</b> - Has a mental abnormality or personality disorder that leads to seeking out victims.</li> Level III, predatory, violent and predicate offenders must register for life. Level I and Level II offenders must register for ten years."]
